Audiobook Narrator

My journey to become an audiobook narrator is paved by both theatrical training and personal resilience. I shouldn't be here. I faced serious health challenges in my youth and defying expectations became my training ground. As an audiobook narrator, I utilize my training in the Uta Hagen technique and Stanislavski method to capture the intricate inner lives of characters, especially those of tenacious women overcoming hardships. Rising above profound loss, embracing new beginnings, and building a career and family amidst personal struggles shaped my unwavering resilience.

I spent decades navigating a male-dominated public service career for the U.S. Government, which further honed my strength and emboldened me to portray characters facing challenging circumstances. Residing in five states - notably Alaska, Virginia, and Idaho - gives cultural depth to my American and Southern characters. Five years living in Germany taught me how to perform authentic local accents and pronunciations. Witnessing the aurora borealis dance in the sky was a world away from the power suits and political maneuverings of Washington D.C. It’s experiences like these that profoundly shape my life.

My voice weaves narratives across diverse themes—politics, government, sports, environmentalism, human rights, motherhood, and caretaking. My life experiences empower me to tackle the whole gamut of genres, from cozy mysteries and rom-coms to thrillers and nonfiction. Having conquered challenges firsthand, I'm passionate about using my voice to empower listeners of all walks of life to find inspiration and strength in the experiences we all share.
